Teesside Rigging & Lifting was originally formed in 2008 by Managing Director Steve Smith, with the main emphasis on building a company that would have a reputation for hard work, quality and honesty.

TRL Group now cover design, detailing fabrication and site installation of structural steelwork, consultancy, technical guidance for rigging and lifting operations, and training both in the UK and overseas

TRL are accredited to run ECITB training programs, along with the internationally recognised ECITB ICE programs. This has seen TRL work with some of the biggest clients in the market including BP, SHELL & JACOBS and taking us from Teesside to Dubai, Calgary, Kuala Lumpur Algeria and Houston to name a few.

In 2013 TRL expanded our onsite site services capability providing competent and qualified personnel to undertake steel erecting and rigging scopes which has seen the company grow and expand into becoming a trusted partner for our clients in the oil, gas, petrochemical and renewable energy sectors.

TRL Group have the capacity to offer fabrication services to cover the whole of the UK and abroad. With added capability to blast and paint any surfaces with any coatings for any project this gives us a full design, build and install capability.

We operate nationally across the UK delivering structural steel projects across numerous sectors from new build and refurbishment projects to Energy from Waste and power plants, we take highly technical and logistically challenging projects in our stride.
